In the heart of Dublin, DataSolutions held its annual Partner Edge event, creating a vibrant hub for networking and collaboration with our valued partners and vendors. The Alex Hotel was the backdrop for a day full of insights, reflection and celebration, as well as showcasing the latest news and future plans from our key vendors.

The Alex Hotel was the backdrop for a day full of insights, reflection and celebration, as well as showcasing the latest news and future plans from our key vendors.
Adopting a 'speed-dating' style setup, the event offered a dynamic platform for vendors and partners to connect. Each vendor – IGEL, HP Aruba, Citrix, Cato Networks, and Check Point – shared their roadmaps and key focus areas for the upcoming year. These discussions weren't just about strategies but also about real-world applications in the Irish market. The succinct format of the presentations, allowed for focused and impactful discussions.
Crucially, this format gave partners the opportunity to ask questions about the technologies and solutions that most suited their unique requirements and points of interest. Some highlights from the conversations include:
Cato Networks
As a pioneer in SASE architecture, Glenn Williams from Cato Networks presented a compelling vision of their world-first SASE offering. He discussed the growing market in Ireland and globally, highlighting local use cases and the architecture's robust capabilities.
Citrix
Representatives Alison Flynn and Julie Cotter discussed the Citrix Fusion Partner Program, highlighting the benefits and opportunities for partners. They also gave an overview of the Citrix Managed Service Provider Program (MSP formally CSP) – explaining what it is, and how partners can create a Citrix Managed Security Service for their customers.
HPE Aruba Networking
Owen Mulcahy from HPE Aruba Networking shared insights into their future roadmap and vision, underscoring their commitment to innovation. The highlight was their discussion on the recent acquisition of Axis Security, showcasing their new SSE solution for businesses.
IGEL
Justin Thorogood returned with his popular 'All I Want for Christmas is...' presentation. He showcased how IGEL technology is making strides across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing, and government, and discussed their integration with Citrix and Microsoft.
Check Point
Michael Muldowney and Niall McNamara from Check Point spoke about their proactive approach to MDR with their Horizon MDR/MPR Managed Prevention and Response solution. They emphasised the solution's foundation on top-tier expertise and leading AI technology.

Post presentations, everyone enjoyed a three-course lunch. The atmosphere was buzzing, with the Christmas spirit in full swing. Michael O’Hara’s speech, acknowledging the company’s growth and the exciting future with Climb, was a highlight for everyone.
The day concluded at Doheny & Nesbitt for drinks into the evening, where the basement area was filled with laughter, fun, and reflections on the day's success. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the roundtable format for its openness and the opportunity it provided for in-depth and useful discussions.
