Techies Go Green, together with DataSolutions, is delighted to be back again with another set of webinar in our Techies Go Green Autumn Webinar Series 2022.
Techies Go Green will be running these webinars over the coming months and have an exciting line-up of speakers planned to include several guest presentations from sector and climate experts, ‘peer-to-peer’ case studies as well as Q&A sessions.
The first webinar in our next series will be “Google, Emissions, and their Ecosystem of Sustainability Partners”, on 27th September at 10:30am.
In this episode, we will be joined by Google and Citrix who will be discussing why we should care about sustainability, the initiatives and projects they are working on to drive the sustainability agenda as well as the importance of developing ecosystems and partnerships that foster sustainability because after all when it comes to sustainability it remains the case that no one can do it alone!

In her talk Pinar Ugurlu Kirazci who is a Cloud Partner Engineer at Google Cloud will talk about the story behind Alphabet, Google and Google Cloud's Sustainability strategy and will share with us the innovative initiatives Google are implementing around the world, from efficient data centres to generating inexpensive renewable energy at scale, that are supporting businesses and people to make more sustainable choices.

She has been working at Google for 5 years and in total 20 years of extensive experience on analysing and implementing solutions to a broad range of technical and business problems. She has a passion for Sustainability and working with her partners to educate them and maximize the impact. Pinar is also an active member of Women@Google Cloud community to support & enable Partners in driving positive change for URGs.
Gerry Lavin - Field CTO EMEA, Senior Sustainability Strategist - Citrix
Gerry Lavin an advocate for Sustainable IT. With over 20 years’ experience delivering great end user experiences at both leading-edge enterprise customers and vendors, he is intrigued by workspace modernisation, digital transformation, the importance of ICT to sustainability. He joined Citrix 3 years ago, initially in pre-sales, covering the finance vertical and now leads the Northern European Sustainability team
